Smartay Education provides a full package consulting service about applying to the most renowned universities in the United Kingdom through the Oxbridge Programme. This specialised programme aims to prepare required knowledge and absolutely necessary skills for potential candidates applying to Oxford and Cambridge University. The programme assists students from selecting the suitable area of study, submitting their applications, testing and interviewing.

Programme Content

Step 1: Submitting the application and first round test

  • Candidates have to submit their transcripts of the most recent school year and fill out a short questionnaire, including questions about themselves, motivations and the accomplishments that they have achieved.
  • Qualified candidates and their parents will be invited to an interview lasting one hour with at least two teachers to evaluate their abilities, motivations and suitability with the area of study that they have chosen.

Step 2: Academic Mentoring Scheme

  • Candidates who have passed the first round will officially attend the course “Road to Oxbridge with Smartay”, lasing for eleven month starting from January
  • The student will attend an one-hour meeting with a specialised academic advisor relating to their field of study to establish an in depth study plan lasting for six months (including extra readings and research topics)
  • Opportunities to directly contact experienced expert to help carry out the student’s independent research.

Step 3: UCAS submission and personal statement

  • After selecting the university, college and area of study, students will be directly guided by Oxbridge graduates to write their personal statement (including tips and tricks, model essay and suggestions).
  • Step 3 begins in August, including six hours of tuition and half a day of visiting Oxford or Cambridge university.

Step 4: Preparation for the entrance test and interview

  • Cambridge and Oxford University have an entrance test for most areas of study. The test occurs in the beginning of November (BMAT is held in September)
  • Candidates have 32 hours tuition with an advisor (8 hours/ 4 days) and an opportunity to do two mock tests, hence identify weaknesses to overcome before the real test.
  • Interview preparation: 1 hour for general knowledge about the interview round of Oxbridge; 2 mock interview sessions (each session lasts for 30 minutes with different interviewers)
